A STORY FROM OUR FOUNDER

“My obsession with skincare began in my early teens when I started struggling with severe acne on my face, upper arms, and back. It was relentless. I tried nearly every over-the-counter treatment, and I even tried doing nothing at all—yet nothing improved.

I knew acne was a common part of adolescence, but that didn’t make it any easier. Eventually, I visited a dermatologist. I remember it clearly—he was an older white man, probably in his late 50s. He barely examined my skin before sitting down behind his large wooden desk and gesturing for me to take a seat across from him.

He said, ‘I’ve got good news and bad news. The bad news is that you have oily skin, which contributes to your acne, and there’s not much we can do about that. The good news? Because you have oily skin, once your acne clears, you’ll have beautiful skin.’

I felt deflated and discouraged, but one thing stuck with me, my skin’s natural oils played a key role in keeping it glowing and plump.

Fast forward twenty years, and suddenly, my skin’s oil production came to a halt. My once-oily skin became dry and sensitive, desperately needing the moisture it had naturally produced for most of my life. I had always taken a K.I.S.S. (keep it simple, stupid) approach to skincare—fewer ingredients, no unnecessary fragrances, and no mystery ingredients always kept my skin happy. Moisturizers seemed to either evaporate too quickly, irritate my skin, or simply didn’t deliver results.

So, I began researching skincare ingredients, determined to understand their effects and find a solution. I wanted a formula that would restore hydration, strengthen my skin barrier, and repair damage—without harmful toxins.

Then, I became an expecting mom. I had always been mindful of skincare ingredients, but now, I was hyper-aware of what was being absorbed into my body. Every decision mattered more than ever. As I continued my research and consulted dermatologist friends, I partnered with a renowned skincare formulator to create my dream facial oil—one that was pure, effective, and safe.

From that journey, our first product was born—the Renewal Face Oil."
